We left Pacific City TTN on June 28 & had a nice drive to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.  Had to stop & make sure the cheese was being processed & had lunch.
We got into the Seaside TTN mid-afternoon & found a great spot near the pool & pickleball courts.  We were pleasantly surprised to find 4 newly surfaced pickleball courts.  They are really first class.  We helped put up the nets & the next day were among the first to play on the new courts.  I think that as soon as the pickleball playing members find out about these new courts they will be spending more time at this preserve.
Kathy & Dennis got here on Saturday July 2 & we have had a lot of fun doing some site seeing with them.  On July 4 we went to Fort Clatsop & enjoyed a day of looking through the visitor center museum, hearing the informative talk about the Corps of Discovery's time there in December 1805 through March 1806, & taking the nature walk along the Nethul River with Ranger Russ.
In the evening, we went down to the beach to see the Seaside Fireworks.  There were many people on the beach with wood fires & their own personal fireworks.  The personal fireworks were very impressive with loud booms & spectacular light displays in the sky.  The city of Seaside had a very good fireworks display, we were all favorably impressed with the quality & the quantity of pyrotechnics.
Today we went to Astoria to go through the Columbia Maritime Museum & go up the hill to the Astoria Column.  Both well worth the time.
